ネパールと日本。小学生の国際交流。

コロナ禍で、撮影活動や映像制作はなかなか進みませんが、思わぬ進展がありました。旅で出会ったネパールのサントシさんを通じて、ネパールと日本の小学生の異文化交流が実現したのです。異文化交流の良い所は、自分の環境を根拠を持って客観視できるようになるというところだと思います。

Cross-border friendship between teachers. 

Beppu primary school located in Minami-kyushu city has started the exchange with Shree Janta primary school located central Nepal. The story so far is Shini-ichiro Higashi (51 years old) who is a teacher of Beppu primary school has become a friend with Santosh Bidari (33 years old) who is a founder of education in Nepal. On 11th December, 19 students of Beppu primary school made a friendship with 15 students of Nepal for the first time beyond the border. Shin-ichiro Higashi was born in Kanoya city of Kagoshima prefecture. He majored in art at Kagoshima university. After that, he belonged to some primary school and junior high school and high school in Kagoshima. From 2014, He started to make some art works and movie of pigeons as a symbol of peace. Santosh Bidari is a founder of education, especially putting effort into reconstruction of public schools destroyed by civil war in Nepal.Their relationship has kept since 2015 with empathy for each other on a SNS. Higashi interracted with BIdari in October and November last year. They promised to do the best for each other for the education to make a peaceful world. From this spring, Higashi became a classroom teacher of 4th grade in this school. After that, they made a plan to exchange. The students introduced themselves in English and Nepali “Dhan'yavāda.” They couldn’t complete all plans dwe to lose connection of the web, but promised to see again. Hikaru Kuramura who is a student in this school said that losing connections on the web made me a little disappointing, but I’II visit to meet a friend in the future. Higashi said that I want them to get an ability to interact with people with diverse values through this exchange.
